"Grab The Reward Points"
Google Movie Synopsis:
An idea from a young, new co-worker (Anna Kendrick) would
put an end to the constant travel of corporate downsizer Ryan Bingham (George
Clooney), so he takes her on a tour to demonstrate the importance of
face-to-face meetings with those they must fire. While mentoring his colleague,
he arranges hookups with another frequent-flier (Vera Farmiga), and his
developing feelings for the woman prompt him to see others in a new light.
Scenario:
Ryan and Natalie are just about to check into a hotel, Ryan walks
past a line of others waiting and the lady who was next up in line makes a
comment. The front desk clerk sharply responds with a line of “reserving
priority assistance” for members of their frequent traveler program.
Selected Scene:
Natalie:
Okay, you got to fill me in on the miles thing. What is that about? You're talking about, like, frequent flyer miles?

You really want to know?

Natalie:
I'm dying to know.

Ryan:
I don't spend a nickel, if I can help it, unless it somehow profits my mileage account.

So, what are you saving up for? Hawaii? South of France?

Business Tip:
Okay, so maybe your job doesn’t have you on the road that
much (yet). Don’t worry, it’s not only about how often you travel, it’s also
the duration. A 3-5 day, sales seminar or a week-long training session can
deliver big reward points--only if you sign up for the loyalty program. Whether it’s a frequent flier, hotel points,
car rental, or train. Just like Ryan showed us,
the perks add up. Most programs provide
some type of perk even if you haven’t reached the “big points.” They can
include, a free car rental upgrade, priority boarding, even a complimentary
beverage when you check into a hotel. Even if
you are unable to enroll prior to booking your tickets, you are still good to
enroll within a limited time. The last
tip I'll leave you with, don’t wait until you have travel plans, go now to
your favorite airlines, hotel chain, and car rental company and enroll. Then send me a pic from your first rewards
trip!
